👑 The visit of the Royal Greenhouses of Laeken is a very popular event that takes place only once a year for 1 month at specific times. This year from Friday, April 19th to Friday, May 10th, 2019 included.

🌳 Hallerbos and its beautiful purple carpet of bluebells, which bloom around mid-April.

Hallerbos - "the blue forest" - is the most important and most extensive forest area between Zenne and Zoniën. The giant Sequoia trees also make a visit to this forest more than worth it.

There are three marked trails in the Hal wood: the "Achtdreven" Walk, the Sequoia Walk, the roebuck walk and the Bluebell Walk.

🌺 Floralia Brussels, the 16th edition of the spring floral exhibition from April 6th until May 5th 2019.

The spring flower exhibition in the park and the greenhouses of the castle of Grand Bigard (Groot-Bijgaarden) offers an unforgettable flower experience. The park of 14 hectares incorporates nearly all spring bulb varieties. For the new flowering time, the gardeners of the castle have planted by hand more than one million bulbs.  Special attention goes to the tulips, with almost 400 varieties, hyacinths and daffodils are also well represented.

The festival of fairground arts resumes its quarters in the Walloon capital to make you live a weekend of magic that will delight young and old. More than 250 free or paid shows by 60 companies, music, entertainments ... All during 3 days of celebration.

🍓Picking strawberries, raspberries and flowers at Fruit Time.

A beautiful place where you can pick strawberries, raspberries and flowers as of the month of June.

PLUS : a shaded spot where to cool off with a drink or ice cream and outdoor games are available at the end of the picking.

🦆 The Zwin is a nature reserve at the North Sea coast, on the Belgian-Dutch border.

The present-day nature reserve has an area of 1.25 square km in Knokke-Heist, Belgium and 0.33 square km in Sluis, Netherlands. It is famous for its large variety in salt-resistant flora, such as sea lavender. It is also popular with bird watchers.

The Zwin is a unique combination of a visitor park and a nature reserve, originally founded by Count Léon Lippens.
